Originally this post was published February 19, 2011. Absolutely nothing about the post that was here should ever see the light of day so we're going to try this again. Let's start with a little bit about who I am now.
My name is Jessie. I go by Lrae on most of social media accounts that center around my writing which hopefully this will become. I am a history major who focuses primarily on medieval Britain and Scotland. I blame my Celtic ancestry for my absolute fascination with everything about Scotland and Ireland.
My interest lies in stories. Books, movies, TV, you name it. If it's got even the semblance of plot development I'm there. I love falling in love with a new story and new characters. The opportunity to engage with history as another story is what drew me to my major (following the great enlightenment that employment exists beyond science). It isn't until recently that I've been comfortable declaring "I am a writer" and in light of that I've decided to give this online presence thing a try again.
We'll see how that goes.
